Brazing Practice...

I'm learning how to braze.  I set up an oxy acetylene torch and I've been sticking metal together.  I started with bike spokes, but stock that small is proving to be difficult to keep at the right heat.  I think I need a smaller tip for thin gauge stock.  I moved up to a 1/2 bolt that was about 2ft long.

I cut it up into pieces and ground it into the right shapes to make a plankton skeletal structure.  I am beginning to experiment with different structures and ideas.  I want to forge out the individual pieces and braze them together for larger plankton sculptures.  This one was practice to iron out brazing details.  I'm working on sketches of the next forged piece.
