Salvaged Old Growth Fir Bed Frame

I just moved back to the farm where I was living a few months ago and I needed a bed frame that allowed me to store clothing/things underneath it. My room used to be the kitchen pantry, so it's a cozy fit. I spent a day last week pulling nails from the old growth fir 2x4 studs from the Griswold building and constructing the frame.

After I cleared hundreds of tiny plaster nails from the wood I made a basic design, cut the lumber and screwed it together.

I designed the bed frame to hold my mattress at the right height so then when I look out my window in the morning, with my head on the pillow, I get a clear view of Mt. Rainier. Here is the sunset the day of construction.
